The Harvey Tradition
Amy Harvey, owner of Stock Market, believes in carrying on the family tradition of providing personal, friendly customer service. Her grandfather, Fred Harvey, Sr., founded Harvey’s Department Store in 1942. The stores slogan “It’s fun to shop at Harveys!” Amy operates her store on the same principle.
“We have our repeat customers who are genuinely grateful that we acknowledge them and are willing to give them personal attention. “Since opening in 2002, Stock Market has been a consignment store with merchandise of all price ranges. Harvey’s shop has an impressive inventory of furniture and decorative items for the home. “There are a lot of traditional furnishings and quite a number of antiques, but we have contemporary items as well The shop encompasses and eclectic mix of styles. We do great research on consignment items so we can price them appropriately to benefit both buyers and consignor,” Harvey said.
To better accommodate their customers, Stock Market is open year-round. Today this attention to individual service may be rare, but Harvey believes it has been the key to success.
